EUNICE OPPONG ASANTE
Mrs Eunice Oppong Asante is an Environmental Risk Management Expert with expertise covering environmental risk management, Sustainability, Climate Change, Education and Awareness Creation, Gender, and Forest Restoration. She is currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Centre for Sustainability and Environmental Action (CSEA). She holds an MSc in Environmental Risk Management from Cranfield University, Bedfordshire, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Studies and Psychology from the University of Ghana, Legon, Accra, Ghana. She has over 10 years of experience in environmental and social management of projects working with NGOs, Private Organisations, grassroots communities, marginalized people Governmental and International Agencies. She has previously worked with the South Durban Community Environmental Alliance (SDSEA), Durban, South Africa, the Environment Agency under the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs, UK, and the Institute of Green Growth Solutions, a sustainable development policy think-tank and consulting firm in Ghana.
As the CEO of the Centre for Sustainability and Environmental Action (CSEA), Mrs. Eunice Oppong Asante focuses on promoting environmental sustainability through Education and awareness creation, research, lobbying, advocacy, capacity building, and community engagement. Her years of work experience in project management have offered her a better understanding of how to interpret laws, policies, and International Best Practices to ensure projects are executed in an environmentally and socially sound manner. The successful implementation of her work can be attributed to the inclusion of multi-stakeholders, engagement of women, youth, and PWDs, early identification and management of project risk, and strategies to ensure project sustainability. More importantly, these experiences have enhanced her commitment to ensuring diversity in project implementation.
