LINDA SARPONG
Linda holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography & Information studies and a Master of Science degree in Climate Change and Sustainable Development from the University of Ghana. She has insights into Climate Change Mitigation and adaptation, Climate Change Policies and legal framework, Climate Smart Agriculture, Green Business Management, and other sustainability-related issues such as Clean Energy, Carbon accounting, and The Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) on carbon capture, storage, and sustainability. Her research interests are in Climate Change impacts on vulnerable groups including Climate Change and Human Health, Agriculture, and Energy.
She has worked in higher education, the extractive industry, financial services, non-governmental organizations, and consulting. She worked with a charitable non-governmental organization as a Policy Analyst on sustainability. Analyzing the policies of Countries across sub-Saharan Africa and the rest of the world, based on the sustainability components of their drafted policy, including renewable energy policies, waste management policies ( Solid, Liquid, and electronic), national climate change policies, and Afforestation and Reforestation Policies. Her most recent consulting engagement was for the Ghana Innovation and Research Commercialisation Center where she participated in the drafting of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the centre. Specifically, SOPs in Administration & Human Resources and Research Standardisation & Certification.
She enjoys mentoring and graphic designing at her leisure.
