Muna Abdulrezak

Muna holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Land Resources & Environment from the University of Asmara, Eritrea and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Risk Management from Cranfield University in the United Kingdom. Muna has several years’ experience of working with local communities both in East Africa and the United Kingdom. Coming from a country where agriculture is the backbone of the economy, she understands the dire needs for sustainable farming and using our limited natural resources in an economically viable and environmentally sustainable manner.

Muna has worked with the Ministry of Agriculture as a Reforestation Programme Facilitator where she led the rebuilding of the damaged ecosystem of a national zoo through coordinating students' summer work programmes to plant trees and terracing for soil, water and biodiversity conservation. Similarly, as an Environmental Advisor, Muna actively engaged with farmers to adopt a range of conservation measures including temporary closures of land so farmers can collect grass through cut and carry system to feed their livestock to give the land a chance to regenerate, reverse land degradation and enhance land rehabilitation and improve sustainability of biological resources. Muna enjoys nature documentaries and zoo visits.
