Initiatives Creating Impact
From climate-smart agriculture to coastal restoration, our projects are building a sustainable future for Ghana.
Green Cities Initiative
Promoting sustainable and resilient communities through tree planting, waste management, environmental education, clean-up exercises, and the creation of green spaces in schools and communities. The initiative empowers citizens to take action towards cleaner, healthier, and more climate-resilient urban and rural environments.
Climate-Smart Agriculture Initiative
Supporting smallholder farmers to adopt climate-resilient agricultural practices through training in sustainable farming techniques, drought-tolerant crop varieties, soil and water conservation, and efficient irrigation methods. The initiative aims to improve food security, increase productivity, strengthen climate resilience, and promote sustainable livelihoods.
Forest Landscape Restoration
Restoring degraded forest landscapes through agroforestry, reforestation, and community-led restoration approaches that enhance biodiversity, improve soil and water resources, increase carbon sequestration, and strengthen climate resilience. The initiative also supports sustainable livelihoods by engaging local communities, women, and youth in restoration and conservation efforts.
Sustainable Livelihood
Enhancing the economic resilience of communities by promoting alternative and climate-resilient livelihood opportunities such as beekeeping, mushroom cultivation, agroforestry, and other income-generating activities. The initiative aims to improve household incomes, reduce pressure on natural resources, and empower women and youth through skills development and entrepreneurship.
Climate Democracy Accelerator (CDA) Program
Promoting inclusive and participatory decision-making by bringing together citizens, stakeholders, and policymakers to deliberate on climate and environmental challenges and co-create practical solutions. Through Citizens Assemblies, the program strengthens community voices, informs local policy development, and advances climate-resilient and sustainable development initiatives.
Maiden Conference for Women in Agriculture
An annual platform that brings together women farmers, agricultural experts, local NGOs, government agencies, and development partners to empower women in climate-smart agriculture, sustainable livelihoods, natural resource management, and personal well-being. The conference promotes knowledge sharing, networking, leadership development, and access to opportunities that strengthen womens resilience and participation in sustainable agricultural development.
